FAQ

Outbound signed webhooks for indie SaaS. Short answers first. Docs and legal pages hold the contract language. Cliff math lives on Compare.

What is webhookmill?
Outbound webhooks as a service for indie SaaS. Post an event. We HMAC-sign it, deliver it, retry on a published schedule, and show your customers the delivery log. Not a generic queue. Not email.
Is this Zapier or an inbound webhook tester?
Neither. Zapier is an integration bus. webhook.site is an inbound catcher. We send signed outbound POSTs from your product to URLs you name — the same job as a customer-webhook product, without the $490 professional cliff.
Do you train AI on my payloads?
No. Delivery, retries, signatures, and the log are deterministic software. We do not run a model over your webhook payloads in v1, and we do not send them to a foundation-model provider. How we use AI is the operational statement.
Why not the $490 professional starting point?
That cliff is a $490/mo starting point for teams that need that catalog. If you need it, buy it. If you are an indie SaaS that needs signed outbound webhooks, retries, and a customer-visible log — and you want to stay self-serve under that cliff — that is the gap we price for. We do not claim enterprise SSO or published SLAs we do not operate.
Who operates this?
Media Yard LLC, PO Box 73, Pennsauken, NJ 08110. Write support@webhookmill.com. The canonical site is https://webhookmill.com.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Starter is $0 and does not ask for a card. Pro and Scale go through Stripe Checkout after you have a workspace and an API key.
What are the caps?
Events per month, endpoints, event types, log retention, request rate, and retry attempts. They are published on this page and live in code so we can tune them without a quote PDF.
What happens if I hit a cap?
Enqueue is rejected. We do not silently drop events. Burst traffic is 429’d. Residual abuse is an Acceptable Use Policy matter, not a hidden overage invoice.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Start on Starter, then upgrade to Pro or Scale from the dashboard when you need more events, endpoints, or log days. Scale is still $149/mo — under the $490 cliff.
Where are the legal pages?
Terms, Privacy, the DPA, How we use AI, and the AUP are linked in the footer and on the legal hub. New Jersey law governs.
What is the $490 cliff?
It is the published professional starting price many teams hit when they outgrow a free or starter webhook product. webhookmill prices Starter $0, Pro $49, and Scale $149 — still under that cliff. Caps live in code.
Do you publish an SLA percentage?
No. We publish retry offsets, rate limits, and the AUP. We do not invent an uptime percentage we do not operate.
